On 27 August 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) released an important update on the PFAS restriction process, confirming that the Socio-Economic Assessment Committee (SEAC) will open its 60-days consultation on the draft opinion in the first half of 2026.
In preparation, ESF, EURATEX, ETSA, and FESI have developed a targeted questionnaire to gather the most up-to-date information on PFAS use in PPE and related products, including military gear, medical textiles, cleanroom garments, workwear, uniforms, professional outdoor safety equipment and raw materials.
To support our members and their networks in contributing effectively, we are hosting a dedicated webinar to:
- Provide a clear update on the current status of the PFAS restriction proposal.
- Explain the purpose, scope, and timeline of the questionnaire.
- Offer a platform for questions and discussion.
