The blue-green fabric was made using prohibited azo dyes, which can form one of the carcinogenic amines by splitting of one or more azo groups. The dye Dispers Yellow 23 was found in the main blue-green fabric. This can release the amine 4-aminoazobenzene (CAS number 60-09-3). |
